Every project begins with a personal consultation – whether by phone, email, or WhatsApp – to understand your goals, timing, and visual direction. I listen carefully to your needs and advise you on how we can best translate your vision into strong imagery. This step lays the foundation for a smooth and successful production, tailored to your brand.
Professional models
When a project calls for the inclusion of people to bring scenes to life, I help you decide whether working with professional models is the right choice. I maintain a curated archive of trusted professional models with experience in hotel and sports photography and can propose the right talent that aligns with your brand and target audience. This ensures consistency, efficiency, and emotionally engaging results – without compromising on professionalism or visual coherence.
Location Scouting
Before the shoot, I arrive on site early for thorough location scouting. I evaluate lighting conditions, architectural lines, seasonal surroundings, and staging potential. To plan with precision, I use tools like PhotoPills (link to: www.photopills.com) to track the sun’s position throughout the day – ensuring we capture each scene in the best possible light. This preparation allows us to make the most of the available conditions and minimizes surprises on the production day.
Shooting day
On shooting day, I work with care and efficiency to capture every scene in the best possible way – using natural light, mobile flash, and tethered shooting for precise results. I take time to stage and refine each image, moving objects where needed and adjusting details that might go unnoticed. Whether indoors or outdoors, each composition is crafted with clarity, balance, and emotion in mind. My focus is always on quality over quantity – creating fewer, but carefully curated images that truly elevate your project.
Staging the scene
Attention to detail is essential in every image I create. Duringeach shot, I carefully fine-tune the scene to ensure it looks not only visually striking but also natural and inviting. This includes adjusting furniture placement, straightening bed linens, hiding distracting elements like cables, positioning curtains symmetrically, and adding subtle styling elements such as blankets, magazines, or accessories. These refinements help elevate the space and bring out its full potential – all while staying true to the interior’s original character. My goal is to create a composition that feels effortless, balanced, and emotionally engaging.
Initial image selection
Following the shoot, I make a thoughtful pre-selection of images, removing any test shots or near-duplicates, and providing you with only the strongest results to choose from. This step saves you time and ensures that what you see is already aligned with the project goals and visual standards. Then, you can select your favorites using different color labels.
High-End retouching
Your finished images are being delivered as high-resolution JPEGs in the highest resolution format via a custom, password-protected online gallery. This secure platform makes it easy to view, download, and share your visuals – giving you immediate and professional access to your final files for you and your collaborators only. The pre-ordered number of images is included in the package, and any additional photos you’d like can be purchased additionally individually.
File delivery

Hi there,
My name is Matthias and I am an international commercial photographer based out of Stuttgart, Germany.
Through more than 17 years of dedication, I have taught myself from scratch to only one goal: Being the best photographer I personally can. My passion, endurance and hard work have led me to a creative career in photography and retouching.
As a sports enthusiast, I also regularly exercise road cycling, yoga & running, but also know how to play tennis and badminton. My travels abroad have led me to visit more than 32 countries. I also love hiking, camping and spending time outside in rugged and untouched nature.
During summers, you can also find me at music festivals. Over the years, I have made a name for myself as a full-time freelance professional photographer for luxury hotel properties and architecture firms. So it comes as no surprise that most of my professional work is related to hotels, architecture, interior design, travel and sports.
